Councillors are summoned to a meeting of the Parish Council to be held on

Tuesday 17^th September 2024

and will take place in the village hall beginning at 19.00hrs.

1. Receive apologies for absence.

 

2. To receive declarations of interest and written dispensation requests.

 

3. To consider minutes of the previous meetings ….16^th July 2024.

 

4. To Review the Resolutions Log and agree any further action as required.

 

5. Open Session
   • To receive a briefing from West Mercia Police
   • To receive a brief verbal report from the Ward Councillor.
   • To receive views of local residents on parish matters

 

6. Footpaths – To receive an update on any current issues to include feedback from the Footpath Officers.

 

7. Planning – To comment on applications to be determined by Herefordshire Council.

7.1        Planning Consultation 242072 – Land Adjoining Hawthorn Rise, Hawthorn Rise, Peterchurch. Application for approval of reserved matters following outline approval 201441 – Proposed erection of up to 89 dwellings (35% affordable housing). Construction of new vehicular access and associated works.

 

8. Finance
   • To note the current bank balance
   • To consider outstanding payments including (but not limited to) the following:
     • Clerk’s salary (July and August 2024) in accordance with his employment contract.
     • Clerk’s travel costs – £5.40
     • Postage – £6.80
     • Hire of Village Hall (July 2024) – £20.00
     • Marches Ground Maintenance (July & August 2024) – £520.00
     • PKF Littlejohn (external audit) – £252.00 (inc VAT).

 

• Financial Monitoring and Bank Reconciliation 2024/25 – To note the current financial status of the Parish Council finances.

 

9. Housing Needs Survey-– To consider the instigation of a housing needs survey in conjunction with the Community First Herefordshire & Worcestershire, Rural Housing Enabler Project

 

10. Parish Council Objectives – To provide an overview of progress since the last meeting plus feedback from the following workstreams:
    • Traffic – To consider any developments since the last meeting.
    • Drainage
      • To receive an update on a proposed submission to Herefordshire Council for additional monies for drainage works.
      • To receive an update on the drainage issue at Pudding Lane that was discussed at a previous meeting.
    • Facilities
      • To note any developments on the Adult Gym Equipment/Recreation Field.
      • To note the increasing prevalence of electric scooters in the recreation ground and consider any action required.
      • To consider action to clean the village telephone box.
    • • To consider the quotations received for work on the PROW from the church to Hinton Farm.

 

11. Lengthsman issues – To note the outstanding work allocated to the Lengthsman and consider any further action.

 

12. Declaration of Interests – To note the request from Herefordshire Council for Councillors to submit the Declaration of Interests form where required.

 

13. Community Transport – To further consider any proposals for delivering or supporting the provision of community transport in the parish.

 

14. Clerk Correspondence.

 

15. To raise matters for the next meeting to be held on 15^th October 2024.
