Agenda – Annual Parish Council – 20th May 2025

Councillors are summoned to the Annual Parish Council meeting to be held on

Tuesday 20^th May 2025

and will take place in the village hall beginning at 19.15hrs.

1. Election of a Chairman

 

2. Election of a Vice Chairman

 

3. To confirm the Co-option of Mr Tom Whitcombe

 

4. Receive apologies for absence.

 

5. To receive declarations of interest and written dispensation requests

 

6. Appointment of Councillors to groups and roles – To approve the appointment of Councillors to the following group/workstreams:
   • Finance Working Group
   • Drainage Workstream
   • Traffic Workstream
   • Facilities Workstream
   • Environment Workstream

 

7. To consider minutes of the previous meetings ….15^th April 2025.

 

8. To Review the Resolutions Log and agree any further action as required.

 

9. Open Session
   • To receive a briefing from West Mercia Police
   • To receive a brief verbal report from the Ward Councillor.
   • To receive views of local residents on parish matters

 

10. Footpaths – To receive an update on any current issues to include feedback from the Footpath Officers.

 

11. Planning – To comment on applications to be determined by Herefordshire Council. No planning applications have been received.

 

12. Finance
    • To note the current bank balance
    • To consider outstanding payments including (but not limited to) the following:
      • Clerk’s salary (April 2025) in accordance with his employment contract.
      • Clerk’s travel costs (April 20250 – £5.40
      • Village Hall Hire (April 2024) – £20.00
    • To consider the renewal of insurance for 2025/26 at a cost of £625.20
    • Financial Monitoring and Bank Reconciliation 2024/25 – To note the current financial status of

the Parish Council finances at the end of 2024/25.

 

13. Parish Council Objectives – To provide an overview of progress since the last meeting plus feedback from the following workstreams:
    • Traffic
    • Drainage
    • Facilities
    • Environment

 

 

14. Lengthsman – To consider the draft contract for the Lengthsman.

 

15. Clerk Recruitment – To approve the use of HALC services to recruit a new Clerk/RFO.

 

16. Parish Priorities – To offer a response to the request from the local police team to set the Parish Council’s priorities for the next 3 months.

 

17. Litter Picking – To consider the procurement of litter picking equipment for the youth group.

 

18. Clerk Correspondence.

 

19. To raise matters for the next meeting to be held on 17^th June 2025.
