Councillors are summoned to a meeting PPC/MH/174 of Peterchurch Parish Council to be held on

Tuesday 21^st February 2023

and will take place in the village hall beginning at 19.00hrs.

 

1. Receive apologies for absence.

 

2. To receive declarations of interest and written dispensation requests

 

3. To consider minutes of the previous meetings ….17^th January 2023.

 

4. To note the status of Resolutions passed at the meeting dated 17^th January 2023.

 

5. Open Session
   • To receive a briefing from West Mercia Police
   • To receive a brief verbal report from Ward Councillor Jennie Hewitt.
   • To receive views of local residents on parish matters

 

6. Footpaths – To receive an update on any current issues to include feedback from the Footpath Officers.

 

7. Planning – To comment on applications to be determined by Herefordshire Council. No planning applications have been received since the last meeting.

7.1 – Planning Consultation 24106 – Boston Cottage, Peterchurch. Change of use from agricultural to equestrian land and proposed 45m x 30m Arena for horses located on-site.

 

8. Finance
   • To note current bank balance.
   • To consider outstanding payments within budget allocation.
   • To approve the budget for 2023/24.
   • To note the availability of additional monies for Lengthsman activities.
   • To compare BACS payments authorised at the January 2023 meeting with the corresponding bank statement.
   • Financial Monitoring & Bank Reconciliation 2022/23.
   • To consider a donation to Food for Families.

 

9. Peterchurch Primary School – To receive an update on developments since the last meeting.

 

10. Future Parish Council Objectives – To provide an overview of progress since the last meeting plus feedback from the following workstreams:
    • Traffic
      • To receive feedback from the meeting with Herefordshire Council on the 14^th February 2023.
    • Drainage
      • To receive an update on the projects to be funded through the drainage grant and Parish Council reserves.
      • To consider the offer of further Lengthsman grant funding for 2022/23.
      • To consider clearing the verge on the road from Crossways to Fairfield School.
    • Facilities
      • To receive an update on any developments since the last meeting.
      • To receive an update on the proposed felling of trees in the recreation ground.
      • To consider a possible location for a memorial bench as discussed at the last meeting.
      • To consider the procurement of a noticeboard at the Nags Head end of the village.

10.4 Environment – To receive an update on any developments since the last meeting.

 

 

11. Public Consultation – To receive an update on the preparation of the “master” plan following the recent public consultation.

 

12. Almhouses – To consider a request from John Smith’s Charity for permission to remove the right of the Parish Council to appoint trustees to the Charity. .

 

13. Clerk Correspondence.

 

14. To raise matters for the next meeting on 21^st March 2023.
