Councillors are summoned to a meeting of the Parish Council to be held on

Tuesday 18^th June 2024

and will take place in the village hall beginning at 19.00hrs.

 

 

1. Receive apologies for absence.

 

2. To receive declarations of interest and written dispensation requests

 

3. To consider minutes of the previous meetings ….21^st May 2024.

 

4. To Review the Resolutions Log and agree any further action as required.

 

5. Open Session
   • To receive a briefing from West Mercia Police
   • To receive a brief verbal report from the Ward Councillor.
   • To receive views of local residents on parish matters

 

6. Footpaths
   • To receive an update on any current issues to include feedback from the Footpath Officers.
   • To consider the proposed submission for additional PROW funds made available from Herefordshire Council.
   • To receive feedback from the recent meeting with Ceri Belli (Herefordshire Council).

 

7. Planning – To comment on applications to be determined by Herefordshire Council. No planning applications have been received.

 

8. Finance
   • To note the current bank balance
   • To consider outstanding payments including (but not limited to) the following:
     • Clerk’s salary (May 2024) in accordance with his employment contract.
     • Clerk’s travel costs – £5.40
     • Postage – £6.80
     • Marches Ground Maintenance (Grass Cutting) – April and May 2024 – £480.00
     • Village Hall Hire (March 2024) – £20.00
     • HALC – Internal Audit – £300.00 (inclusive of VAT)
     • Tree Surgeon Report – £474.00 (inclusive of VAT)
   • Financial Monitoring and Bank Reconciliation 2024/25 – To note the current financial status of the Parish Council finances.
   • To receive feedback from the recent meeting of the Financial Working Group including a recommendation to approve the Reserves policy for 2024/25.

 

9. Parish Council Objectives – To provide an overview of progress since the last meeting plus feedback from the following workstreams:
   • Traffic
     • To receive an update on the recent work in the village.
     • To consider the traffic problems emanating from Fairfield School.
   • Drainage
     • To consider any projects for consideration against the local drainage fund.
   • Facilities
     • To note any developments on the Adult Gym Equipment/Recreation Field project with specific reference to relocating the toddler equipment.
   • • To note the recent report from a tree surgeon on the ash trees on the PROW from the church to Hinton Farm and consider any future action.

 

10. Defibrillator –To receive an update on the proposed installation of a defibrillator at the Fire Station and to consider removing the code mechanism.

 

11. Clerk Correspondence.

 

12. Parish Council Filing Cabinet in the Village Hall – To consider the request from the Village Hall Committee to remove the filing cabinet belonging to the Parish Council from the building.

 

13. To raise matters for the next meeting to be held on 16^th July 2024.
